Oct 5 - What’s on My Desk ?
We had a big mail week for the Foundation so most of the items on my desk were related to shipping out envelopes and packages.
Shipping Inserts - We have a few inserts that we include with all packages : Packing List , Care Instructions, and Studio Certificate. While not all three are required, we want them to part of the experience. The Care Instructions aren’t just about how to wash a garment, they provide guidance on how the garment will age based on how you care for it. And the Studio Certificate is a reminder that the item was made by the Foundation in our Studio.
Embosser - Also as part of the experience, we emboss all our Studio Certificates. This was the inspiration for this week’s challenge (Link to Video on Youtube). When we were reviewing our shipping process, we thought the Studio Certificate might feel a little more special if it was embossed. A custom embosser is pretty cheap and didnt really add any effort since it only takes a couple seconds to press, so it was an easy decision.
