Oct 12 - What’s on My Desk ?
Long weekend in Chicago with a federal holiday on Monday, so I was able to knock out a few more to-dos…which means less “stuff” on my desk to start the week
Fortune - While cleaning out my desk, I found an old fortune from a fortune cookie. The fortune is “To Reach Distant Places, You Must Take the First Step.” I decided to build my videos around this idea this week because I think it’s a great message for non-profits. Many that are operating at capacity don’t make any progress towards big goals or new projects because they dont want to start until they have all the effort or funding needed…and sometimes they aren’t totally sure how much effort they will need. Just taking that first step, whether its estimating effort or building a launch plan ,can significantly increase the probability that the project will launch or the goal will be reached. Taking no action is a guarantee it wont.
National Wrestling Hall of Fame - I received two pins from the National Wrestling Hall of Fame this week as part of a Thank You package from the Hall for being part of their 50th Anniversary celebration team. I am not sure where I will pin them yet, but proud to have them
Key Chain - As we continue to “make” things in the studio (in response to AI becoming more common for digital art) this week’s project was a wrist key chain, themed like the teal Adidas Combat Speed, which might be the most iconic colourway in the history of wrestling shoes. We are pretty happy with this prototype. Next week we plan the create version 2.
